Abstract
The cross-over study of all the measurements carried out on the floral characters allowed to differ Saint-Loup Ophrys from Olonnes Ophrys. If the former appears as resulting from a cross-breeding between Ophrys aranifera and Ophrys araneola, the latter would be resulting from a cross-breeding between Ophrys aranifera and Ophrys passionis. Because the expression of specific characteristics cannot be attributed to any reference populations, it corroborates the originality of these two enigmatic populations and the suspicion of a hybrid origin.
